Five for Friday 2/13

A holiday weekend is upon us so I thought I'd start mine off with a little Five for Friday post with Doodle Bugs Teaching!

Valentine's Day Hats!  Do you make hats with your kiddos?  Here is a look at my Valentine's Day hat. It's very simple and is a perfect little activity that doesn't require too much time.

Earlier this week the hubs and I went to explore a new nearby city.  Ely!  Ely is a historic city in Cambridgeshire, England and is home to the well known Ely Cathedral.  The cathedral draws thousands of visitors each year and is said to be one of the largest cathedrals in England.   It is just breathtaking.

President's Day is upon us!  I know if in the classroom I'd be prepping these babies for next week.

My mom said she wanted a new writing craftivity for when she teaches about oviparous animals so I decided to make one up.  She hoped that the activity could have an option of animals so that when she displayed them they wouldn't all be the same.  This is what I came up with.  I included 6 different oviparous animal crafts.  Each animal template only takes up 1 page so it is pretty easy to prep!  Although I think it'd make a great bulletin board display I also think these would be perfect clipped together in a class book or I could see using the crafts in interactive journals as you learn about each animal.

Lastly, in case you missed my Tuesday post today is the LAST day of my 3-day sale.  Check out my store for 15% off.

Now it's time to go eat some chocolate!  Have a super holiday weekend!

  3. Those Valentine's hats are awesome. I love England! I spend every summer in the London (for the past 5 years and counting). I take trips out of London on the weekends. I went to Brighton for the first time last year and it was incredible.

    1. Thanks Myranda! Wow, a trip every year? How fun that must be! We actually live about 1.5 hours north of London closer to Cambridge. I actually haven't been to Brighton yet but have heard it is pretty awesome. Did you get to check out the Royal Pavilion? I heard it's amazing. It's definitely a place I'll be checking out before I leave. Hope you have a great weekend!
